Batanda lives in Kmpala. Her Dance with Me won a Commonwealth
Short Story Competition award. Her short stories have been
short listed for the Macmillan Writers Prize for Africa and highly
commended for the Caine Prize for African Writing. Her stories have
been published in Wasafiri, Moving Worlds, Edinburgh Review, St.
Petersburg Review and The Literary Review as well as
n umerous anthologies.
